ViewCast Osprey-700e HD Wins Streaming Media 2008 Readers’ Choice Award

Sept. 26, 2008 — The ViewCast Osprey®-700e HD video capture card has been named the winner of Streaming Media Magazine’s 2008 Readers’ Choice Award, in the Encoding Hardware category. A product of ViewCast Corporation (OTCBB: VCST), the Osprey- 700e HD was selected out of the nearly 4,000 votes cast by Streaming Media readers in the annual contest that recognizes the industry’s most innovative streaming solutions.

The first HD-compatible product from ViewCast, the Osprey-700e HD is a robust, highperformance video capture and streaming solution for content owners and content aggregators who need to work with SDI video sources in both HD and SD formats. In addition to the Streaming Media award, the Osprey-700e HD won TV Technology magazine’s STAR Award in 2007 and was featured in HD Video Pro magazine’s February 2008 issue.

More than 200 different products and services from 150 countries were considered in this year’s Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards. “The high level of competition in this program demonstrates how many high-quality solutions are now available to consumers, enterprises, and educational institutions looking for online video solutions,” said Eric Schumacher- Rasmussen, editor of Streaming Media magazine. “Also, the participation from such a high percentage of our readership shows how committed they are to advancing the industry, which is something we can all celebrate.”

The award presentation, made Sept. 24 at the Streaming Media West show in San Jose, marks the second consecutive Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Award for ViewCast. The company’s entire Osprey product line won in the Encoding Hardware category last year.

“The Osprey-700e HD card’s selection for this prestigious award is further demonstration of ViewCast’s industry leadership in high-quality, innovative streaming solutions,” said Dave Stoner, president and chief executive officer of ViewCast. “We are very pleased that the readers of Streaming Media magazine continue to recognize and appreciate the quality of our products.”
